![]() I'm an amateur astronomer, I am trying to find a very accurate terrain profile for my city, useful to input that in an astronomy software and then be able to calculate the times at which the principal stars below the horizon will rise and set. Suncurves is helping me achieve my health goals! So I set myself a bedtime alarm for visible sunrise minus 9 hours to ensure I am getting a solid 8 hours of sleep each night. Windsor, Ontario: 0.35 million Saskatoon, Saskatchewan: 0.33 million Regina, Saskatchewan: 0.26 million These figures are 2019 estimates based on the numbers recorded in the 2016 census. Suncurves tells me when the sun will get up tomorrow. My goal is to wake up "with the sun" each day to get my body’s circadian rhythm synchronized with daylight-based zeitgebers help me get better sleep. I used Suncurves to create a schedule for myself in 2015. By visiting the EPAs Sunwise page at, you can get UV index values for other locations by entering specific cities or ZIP codes. The land has a slight slope and we are unsure if it will receive enough sunlight between April and August to grow crops. The UV Index runs on a scale of 1 to 11+: Remember that the UV values over reflective surfaces (such as white sand, snow cover, and water) can increase these values. I am using SunCurves to assess the amount of sunlight a parcel of potential agricultural land has. Wildfire smoke blocks the shorter wavelengths like yellow, green and blue leaving just the red and orange to pass through. And, you saved me an hour of extra sleep next week because I know now the sun won't be out before 9am :) Cheers from Switzerland, keep up the great work! I am travelling the world and sometimes I can't do location scouting because I just see it once I'm there. I just found your tool today and I am not only promoting it to get free credits, but because it's friggin' awesome! This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for as an outdoor photographer. Your service was very helpful in determining the best time for my client's ceremony and photos, which is so important for photographers! The ceremony will take place just below a mountain top, where the sun can go "down" long before the actual sunset time. She wanted to be sure we had the best light possible for her bride and groom photos. I am a wedding photographer and had a client asking what would be the best time for her wedding ceremony, in relation to the photographs we'd be doing after the ceremony.
